NOTICE is hereby given of a Planning Committee Meeting which you are summoned to attend.
This Meeting is for the purpose of considering and finalising the Committee’s recommendations on the Planning Applications listed below, which will include carrying out any site meetings deemed necessary.

It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN01 – Midway Road, noting the need to address obstruction of residential access and to monitor potential displacement parking to surrounding streets, including Sandra Way.
It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN02 – Scarletts Well, whilst highlighting that the loss of capacity within the adjacent car park due to the still unresolved leat issues is a shame.
It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN03 – Bodiniel Road, subject to the condition that the road surface is assessed and, where necessary, improved prior to the application of road markings.
It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN04 – Cardell Road, with a request that the extent of the restriction be reviewed and extended further along the road, including the opposite side, to prevent displacement parking.
It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN05 – Berrycoombe Road, with the expectation that appropriate enforcement measures are put in place to ensure the effectiveness of the restrictions and to protect access to private property, including Doneley Court.
It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN06 – Pool Street, on the basis that it will improve access and alleviate congestion caused by obstructive parking.
It was RESOLVED to accept the proposed restriction for SN08 – Midway Road, Dunmere Industrial Estate, subject to the condition that the road surface is assessed and, where necessary, improved prior to the application of road markings.
It was RESOLVED to object to the proposed restriction for SN07 – Callywith Gate Industrial Estate, pending further clarification regarding parking permit costs at Callywith College and the potential for displacement parking into surrounding areas.

It was RESOLVED that Cornwall Council be informed that the Mayor, Cllr E Ahearn, the Chair of the Planning Committee, Cllr P Skea, and the Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee, Cllr A Coppin, request a meeting with Mr Steve Kirby to discuss residents’ concerns, and that, should the outcome of this meeting be unsatisfactory, an opportunity be extended to members of the public to raise their concerns directly with Cornwall Council.
