    It was RESOLVED to agree the schedule of dates for Meet Your Town Councillors - January to July 2026.

    It was RESOLVED to note an update on the Aims and Objectives and Community Services involvement and to consider and resolve upon any actions if appropriate.

    It was RESOLVED to note upon an update on the progress of the Esedhvos Festival in 2026 in collaboration with Gorsedh Kernow.

    It was RESOLVED to accept the draft Grants Policy 2026 for recommendation to Policy & Resources Committee with the dates for applications and meetings to be amended in line with the calendar of meetings.

    It was RESOLVED to amend Section 5. Funding within the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Partnership Working with the Heritage Day Committee for recommendation to Full Council and remove "is limited to £1000 (including staff time)". Three Abstentions (Cllr E Ahearn, Cllr J Burden and Cllr K Phillips).

    Decision

    It was RESOLVED to note the application of the opening and closure dates and the panel arrangements for the Community Volunteers Award and to retain the closing date of 31 March 2026.

  21. CS.2026.021

    a) Summer Events Programme 2026 - provision of free parking on every Saturday during July and August 2026 to support a summer programme of free community events and to encourage town centre footfall.
    b) Heritage Day - provision of free parking from Friday 3th July to Saturday 4th July 2026 in support of the Heritage Day weekend.
    c) Gorsedh Kernow 2026 - provision of free parking during the first week of September 2026, including the Gorsedh ceremony on the first Saturday of September, to support the Esedhvos Festival of Cornish Culture and associated events.
    d) Christmas Trading Period - provision of free parking on the first Saturday in December 2026 to support local Christmas shopping and town centre businesses.
    e) St Piran’s Day - provision of free parking on St Piran’s Day to support celebrations of Cornish culture.
    f) Support for Event Organisers and Traders - provision of free parking permits or agreed parking concessions for organisers and traders involved in the following events:

    • Bodmin Fireworks
    • Alstock
    • Bodmin Pride

    Decision

    It was RESOLVED to accept the provision of free parking in Bodmin to support community events, town centre trade and cultural celebrations.

  22. CS.2026.022

    Decision

    It was RESOLVED to accept integrating the Community Services website back together with the main Bodmin Town Council site and retain a separate site for markets and events.

    To consider passing the following Resolution in respect of the items listed below:
    “That the press and public be excluded from the Meeting in accordance with Section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of confidential and exempt information”
